BHS WON first place in the region drama competion by 13 points over Woods Cross, second, and Highland, third. The choral department is in California this week at a western west-ern states competition. We wish them luck. Even though the sun and the frisbees are out, as are most of the students in the Bountiful area. Bountiful High School is already making plans and preparations pre-parations for next year. VARSITY cheerleaders and yell leaders were elected, they include Kingsley Allan, Judy Bowles, Michelle Argyle, Mark Rydalch, Steve Lang-man, Lang-man, Julie Jorden (head), Shauna Hunsaker and Mihon Whitesides (head). Junior varsity cheerleaders will be Laura Brough, Linda Carlson, RaNae Passey, Toya Moulton, Tammy Leonard and Jill Palmer. CLASS OFFICERS for the 1981-82 school year were elected last week. They are Todd Williams, senior class president; Dave Wilson, senior vice president; Rob Eggett, senior secretary; Leslie Les-lie Walker, senior historian; Jodi Eggett. junior class president; pres-ident; Brad Mortenson. junior vice ptjesident; Jody Wall, junior secretary; and Keri Peterson, junior historian. The Mandanelles were also chosen after weeks of clinics and tryouts before judges. They will be: Michelle Beyer, Kim Brown (drill mistress), Jana Bryson. Kelly Child, Tracy Tra-cy Crawford. Teresa Fors-berg, Fors-berg, Lisa Hall, Robyn Davies, Mindy Hansen, Heidi Helton (treasurer). ALSO, HAYLEY Hoskins (assistant drill mistress), Kris Johnson, Wendy Johnson, Luann Larson. Kari Liston (president), Suzette Mem-mott, Mem-mott, Linda Merritt. Colleen Murray (secretary). Kristi Peterson. Stephanie Steed. Konnie Stucki and Liz Welch (vice president). The Braves baseball team upped their record to 4 and 2 to put them in sole possession of second place. They did this with their recent 5-2 victory over South. JASON ELG pitched well and the hitting was led by Lex Brown. Todd Beck Jeff Pitcher, Pitch-er, Jim Dredge, with a key hit by Steve Beyer. Rob Allred, catcher, played a great game as did Mike Stevens, second base. IN SOCCER, the Braves have beaten Clearfield 8-0. Layton 4-0. Viewmont 4-2, and tied Davis 1-1. They participated parti-cipated in a tournament in Orem and beat Mt. View, Timpview, and Orem to win first place in the competition. Coach Rick Call says the state playoffs look probable.
