Show PROVO POINTS A bevy of linemen in the employ of the Western Union Telegraph company have arrived from Denver They will attend to the work of putting in a loop from the Denver Den-ver Rio Grande railway wires t a central cen-tral point in the city where a Western Union Telegraph office will be located The firemens excursion t Castella springs to day will evidently draw a large crowd The boys have given a uniform torchlight procession in both Provo and Springville headed by the band A large party from Provo is assured and there is promise of a good delegation from Spring ville Spanish Fork and Payson The prize balL at Graves park gardens last evening drew quite large attendance The prizes to be awarded to the best lady and gentleman waltzer were two beautiful silver cups About fifteen couples contended con-tended and there seemed some difficulty in the judges coming to a decision After a fair test however it was decided that Mr Ed Young and Miss Emma Luff were entitled en-titled t the prizes The decision gavogon eral satisfaction The opera house orchestra orches-tra was in attendance and furnished excellent music A meeting of the stockholders of the Sun foundry was held last evening for the purpose pur-pose of incorporating and other business A reorganization was effected and the following fol-lowing officers appointed George Sutherland Suther-land president John Devey vicepresident John E Booth secretary A A Noon treasurer John Devy superintendent Board pf directors H Sunburg J H Whalen Amos D Holdaway L Holbrook S R Thurman Wicher Jones William Holdaway The articles of incorporation have been drawn up and will be fled in the county clerks office today The stock is placed at 200000 and the shares 10 each One year ago this institution employed but three men and at present are working thirtyfive Theirshops and conveniences are totally inadequate to their business and they will immediately take steps toward putting up convenient buidings Pnovo Sept 10 O |
