DUELLING IN KENTUCKY One Man Gives the Other the Lie and Both are Killed Special to THE BEHALD Examiner Dispatch LEXINGTON Ky Aug 26A desperate duel to the death took place at Rowland the junction of the Louisville i Nashville railroad with the Kentucky Central at 9 oclock yesterday morning Robert Ferguson Fer-guson a fireman on tho Loiiis ville Nashville Nash-ville i road waS recently married tb apretty young woman and Bjata Hamilton another fireman was reporfSd to have told tales aUoUt her Yesterday morning tho trains df the two men mot at Rowland Fercuson walked cp to Hamilton and in an excited manner exclaimed You have been talking about my wife so I understand under-stand I No I have not says Hamilton and the man who says so tells a lie I say so replied Ferguson and at the same instant both men drew pistols They fired almost simultaneousLv and in less than fifteen seconds each man had fired four times Then both reeledand fell their heads almost touched as they dropped The trainmen rushed to them only to find both dead Each had three bullet holes in his body An eye witness said it was the gamest fight he ever saW Neither man flinched nor uttered a sound alter the shooting commenced
