Show THF TEMPLE OF HONOR I Their Successful Entertainment < > Last Evening The hall of the Temple of Honor No 1 over the Deseret Bank was packed last evening many male auditors being compelled to stand in the anteroom adjoining on the occasion of the entertainment tainment giveR by and to the members and friends of the order The initial election by Helds cornet band the Belle of the Village wascapitally rendered Next followed remarks by A T Christensen then a song by Joseph Hillstead in good style a reading lag by J E Evans How Rubenstein Played a cornet solo by Professor Held accompanied on the organ by Mr Engberg was a gem of musical accomplishment omplishment a song by JJ Jennings I select reading The Wine Cup by W I T Harris a guitar trio by Messrs Joseph Hillstead J J Jennings and Smith song by Mrs Branley the zylophone solo by A Beesley was a masterpiece and was redemanded by the delighted listeners remarks by John Brough the instrumental quartette Morning Song I by Messrs Held Gill Williams and Clark was a most charming rendition and was applauded ap-plauded to the echo remarks by H D Folsom and a selection by the band These reunions are becoming vory popular and are attracting numbers of citizens whenever announced and the influence created by them is having a wholes me effect upon certain classes of the community The services of the cornet band are proving a valuable addition dition to the programmes presented at the organizations entertainments |
