Show A TRIPLE KILLING As the Result of a School Election in Arkansas MRS MAYBRICK AS A PRISONER A Niece of Jeff Davis Accused ef Killing Her HusbandArrested in Washington Wash-ington LITTLE ROCK May ISA telegram just received from Forrest city Ark says that D M Wilson sheriff of St Francis county Frank Folbre city marshal and Thomas Parhnm were killed in a street fight today For several days past excitement has been at a high pitch there over the school election Today a large crowd assembled assem-bled in the vicinity of the polls A fight was begun by the friends of two negroes A W Neely and G W Ingrain both of whom had been making speeches during the campaign Some one knocked Neely down and he ran to Cap tain John Parham for protection Marshal Mar-shal Folbro came up and was talking in an excited manner with Parham whn Tom Parham son of the captain cap-tain came running down the stairs from the county office and without a word fired at Marshal Folbre inflicting a mortal wound As Folbre was falling he fired two shots killing Tom Parham Several other shots were fired during the excitement and one of these struck and fatally injured Sheriff Wilson who was running toward the scene of the affray It is said the shot which struck him was fired by Neely Intense excitement prevails Ingram who is coroner of the county was waited on by a body citizens and invited to leave town which he did Veely and a few companions are in a building on Washington Wash-ington street surrounded by armed men The people hf > d Neely responsible for the whole affair Everybody able to bear arms has bf < ii on ruty since the trouble and toniglit the town is being patrolled by irmed muon for fear of an outbreak out-break on the part of some faction |
