Show Grand Ball The Ogden City Drum Corps held their that grand ball on Wednesday night in the Union Opera House when a large and fashionable audience by their presence testified their appreciation apprecia-tion of tbe efforts being made by the members of the corps and DrumMajor Rebbick to give a more martial tone and it may be aspect to the city at holiday times The boys met previous pre-vious to going to the Opera House and perambulated a portion of the streets the shrill shrieking of the fifes and rolling on the drums proclaiming proclaim-ing to the inhabitants that something out of the common was about to take j place The proceedings inside the house were commenced by a grand march by the drum corps after which dancing was at once entered ioto and continued fast and furious until a late hour when the drums were again brought out and gave the garrison notice taps Lights out II Mr Fords band provided the music which was as usual of a firstclass description and everyone present was evidently well pleased with the nights proceedings proceed-ings We had almost forgotten to say that the proceeds derived from the I affair will be placed in the uniform fund which is being got together for the benefit of the corps I |
