| Show A Faithless Wife Causes Murder IXDiANAiOLiij March 25When John Clements went home to night he found his wife and P B Nowland sitting together i in a room Nowland as Clements entered the room made a movement to qtrike the latter when Clements drew a revolver and killed Rowland Clements was arrested Mrs Clements who is also under arrest first denied any knowledge of Nowland but after telling a variety of stories finally broke down and confessed that she had been criminally intimate with Nowland When these boards sought to enter upon their duties the old board of metropolitan police commissioners municipal authorities authori-ties declined to surrender their power holding that the laws under which the legislative appointees were to act were unconstitutional I un-constitutional The case was heard in the supreme court of this county today and a decision rendered ren-dered sustaining the metropolitan commissioners commis-sioners and municipal authorities Judge Taylor ruled in favor of the nawappointees and Judges Howe and Walker on opposition The case will now be taken to the supreme court |
