Show NOTICE NO. 24671 IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF THE SECOND JUDICIAL DISTRICT IN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF WEBER, STATE OF UTAH IN THE MATTER OF THE WEBER BASIN WATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT Notice is hereby given that there has been filed in the above Court a Petition by Weber Basin Water Conservancy Conser-vancy District seeking a judicial examination of the proceedings of the District, which authorized the execution execu-tion of a contract between the District and the United States of America for a loan to the District of approximately Four Million Three Hundred Ten Thousand-Four Hundred Sixty and no100 ($4,310,460.00) Dollars, under and pursuant to the provisions of the Emergency Drought Act of 1977, for the acquisition and construction by such District of appropriate facilities to provide for the withdrawal of water from the Layton Canal . at a point at or near where said canal intersects 5200 South Street in Roy, Utah, its transportation easterly by pipeline a distance of approximately 284 miles and its discharge into the existing canal of Davis and Weber Counties Canal Company, in exchange for water of equivalent quantity and of quality suitable for irrigation held and to be held in storage by Davis and Weber Counties Canal Company in reservoirs upstream on the Weber River, and for the repayment of such loan without interest in annual an-nual installments extending over a period of Forty (40) years. Such Petition further seeks the determination by the above Court that such proceedings by the District, authorizing the execution of the aforesaid contract with the United States was and is within the lawful powers of the District and its Board of Directors. Copies of all such proceedings, and of the contract con-tract between the District and the United States are available availa-ble for examination in the general offices of Weber Basin Water Conservancy District, 2837 East Highway 193, Layton, Utah, 84041. Notice is further given that hearing upon said Petition shall be before the Honorable Ronald O. Hyde, Judge, on Tuesday, the 12th day of July, 1977, at the hour of 11:30 A.M. at the Municipal Building in Ogden City, Weber County, Utah.
