Show A Threatened Riot LINCOLN Neb July 5A serious riot was threatened here this afternoon after-noon between gangs of men employed in laying track for rival street car companies com-panies on Tenth Street Both companies com-panies were fighting for the possession of the street and as fast as the rails were laid by one gang the other would tear them up and replace them by their own The leaders finally drew revolvers re-volvers and guarded their men with loud threats until the police stepped in and put three of them under arrest among those arrested were John Fitzgerald Fitz-gerald president of the Irish National League of America and a stockholder in a rival company He was fined 10 and costs J |
