Show The South Dakota Convention Sioux FALLS July 23The greater part of todays session was devoted to the consideration con-sideration of committee reports An attempt at-tempt will be made to defer action on the report of the committee on judiciary until Thursday possibly with the purpose of tiring out the delegations that have come here from dissatisfied districts to lobby for the defeat of the ml jolty report and anew a-new deal in the assignment of the judicial listriQts The report was finally made the special order lor tomorrow A notable feature of todays proceedings was the presentation of a communication from the American Sabbath union signed by Elliott P Shepard MajorCcneral Howard How-ard J H Knowles and Walter Crafts asking the convention to insert in the constitution stitution a provision protecting and encouraging encour-aging Sabbath observance ihe communi ation was referred to a special committee of five including three clerical delegates dele-gates The committee on legislative appointments I reached an agreement today on senatorial appointments by which the number dis I ricts is fixed at fortyone and the scna tons fortyfive the latter being the limit provided in the constitution |
