Show EnUsLtzs ioN OF TAXES There Is throughout the Territory a good deal of dissatisfaction with the action ac-tion of the Board of Equalization The Board has not yet completed its work but its labors are fast drawing to a close and in a little while we will all know what has been done So far as action has been taken in the matter of finp county it may be here stated that tho taxes have not been lowered and it may also be asserted with equal post tiyeness that the taxes of no county will be reduced It is easy enough therefore to a count for the dissatisfaction and for the complaints which one hears Nothing less was expected when the Board was created If there were not complaints com-plaints everybody would be astonished and the general fear would be that the world was coming to an end As a rule people are not in th habit of overtaxing overtax-ing themselves On the contrary they ft are in the habit of doing exactly the opposite 1L op-posite It was because this popular b |
