Show I The Suicide WASHINGTON September 19 Captain Mullet of the revenue marine service who committed suicide in San Francisco Fran-cisco yesterday was a brother of Ex Supervising Architect Mullet He was on an eighteen months leave of absence on account of acute melancholia caused by malaria contracted in the service Sometime ago Captain Mullet was stationed sta-tioned at Mobile and after his return from that station he was examined by Dr Godding of St Elizabeths Hospital Hos-pital fqr the Insane SureeonGeneral Hamilton of the Marine Hospital service ser-vice and Dr Murphy of Columbia Hospital Hos-pital who found that he was suffering from acute melancholia and recommended recom-mended that he be placed in a quiet asylum He improved however during dur-ing his stay at Washington and as his family were averse to putting him in an asylum he was allowed to go west to visit a brother and afterwards went to San Francisco to attend to private business busi-ness His friends have feared for sometime some-time that hs malady would end in suicide sui-cide |
