Show Serious Explosion l PITTSBURC March 5This evening Frank Kunkle a teamster livin ir Grant Alley Alleghcnny City placed os a stove to boil a mixing of turpentine l j tar and linseed oil which he had beta told would cure a horse of lameness I h the room at the time besides Kunkle was his daughter Annie j I aged 7 years a son aged 5 yearaJub t Walters 13 years old and a youn niaa t named Dipp The mixture had been on the stove probably an hoar when it 1 boiled over Instantly it ignited and a second afterwards explosion ex-plosion occurred which scattered i the scalding liquid l ana flames m all directions Young Dipp with great t presence of mind grabbed up the can j with the burning mixture and otarled I for the door while Kunkle ran to rescne the children whose clothes were a niP of flames One by one le I picked them up and threw too 1 out of the window into the yard ana t then jumping after them tore tb clothes from their bodies Asititot arrived by this time and the fire Laws been extinguished the little atiflerto were earned back to the ho st Annie was burned to a crp < and died in a short time in great agony Julia Walters was also terribly bar the flesh peeling off her arms and Iw I She is still living and suffers intensely Slight hope however a o tertaineJl of her recovery Them boy was badly burned slob the face and arms but will recover Young Dipp had the llesh burnt off nn hands and arms and Kunkle was painfully pain-fully but not seriously injured TW damage to the house by the fire was yer slight |
