Show DEATH OF J yo 3IIDLIS A Prominent Citizen of Ogdcn Passes Away News was received in this city yesterday yester-day of the death of J W Millis of Ogden the sad event ocouring on Monday Mon-day evening on the train while on his way home from a trip to the ranche of Beckwith Quinn J Co on the Oregon Short Line He left Ogden on Sunday morning last in company with a number num-ber of friends and on Monday in company com-pany with them started out for a hunt At about noon he was taken suddenly ill anti on examination it was discovered dis-covered that his left side was paralyzed para-lyzed He was immediately attended at-tended to The party at that time were nine miles from any station Arriving there a special train was made up to bring Mr Millis home and it had proceeded to a point between Twin CreeK and Granger by 830 pm when he died The remains reached Ogden at 5 oclock yesterday morning Mr Millis was an old resident of the Territory having been in Utah for over fifteen years Being a member of the Masonic fraternity the funeral will no doubt be held nnder the auspices of that order The day for the services will be hereafter announced Mrs Millis was on a visitto thefamily of her nephew Mr James E Foote of this city at the time she received the news of her husbands death and 5m jncdiately left for home |
