the following follow-ing particulars oncfcraing two of the brighten members of tbe Madison i Square Company whose coming next month trill form so notable an event In our dramatic season Mr Boyle was Intimately connected with both Mr Fresbrey and Miss Russell during his engagement with tbe Madison Square and it Is one of his greatest regrets that he Is forced to leave Salt Lake without having an opportunity of welcoming them Stage Manager Prasbrejr Most of the stage managers connected with the Madison Square Theatre have become well known names in dramatic circles some as managers and some as playwrights Attention need only be called to Manager Daniel Frohman and Playwright David Belatco to substantiate substan-tiate tits assertion The present incumbent in-cumbent of this responsible position is Mr Gene W Presbrey Mr Presbrey is first of all a gentleman a man of culture and refinement He was formerly for-merly a student at Oberlin College and has always been a conscientious student in the many and various capacities capa-cities be has been called upon to fill He is still a young man and has not been connected with the stage for over tep years During his first five years he played as he say Everything from My Lord the carriage to Claude Melnotte These five trying years of study and struggle were spent at the Boston Theatre His last five years have been pent at the Madison Square Theatrethe last two as stage manager There are few men better qualified to fill inch a positon than Mr Presbrey He was born of ingenious parents from whom be inherited inher-ited much mechanical skill He is a skilled mechanic himself but he is morehe is an artist He can build a steam engine or paint a portrait Last years Academy honored him with positions posi-tions for two much admired marine views He designs and sets up in model all the stage settings that are used in the Madison Square Theatre He is In fact Mr Palmers right hand man Hill Annie Russell Miss Annie Russell Is no relative of the notorious Lillian Russell nor of Helen Russell of Wallacka but an English Eng-lish girl who made her first FIn F-in Montreal in lash in childs part 1 think her first effort was as
