Show THE CENTKAL COAL S L Bishop Sharp Wires that the 1 Central Agency is to bo Permanent Bishop Sharp called at Omaha on his way east and from the following it wouldseem that he has gained his point with the Union Pacific for the present at any rate Mr A L Williams the Utah Central coal agent yesterday received re-ceived a dispatch from the Bishop authorizing au-thorizing him to commence the erection of coal shells and an office at the depot yards from which it is argued that the lientral is to maintain its identity without with-out being merged into the monopoly Mr Williams will accordingly commence com-mence this morning building sheds along the entire block south of the depot de-pot and when finished the Central will have immense facilities for haniiing and storing its coal The uptown office will remain next door to Barratt Urothers A rep rter ran into the Union Pacific coal l office to see how the news war taken there Mr Gunnell expresed himself a > greatly surprised at the intelligence in-telligence as he had been daily almost hourly in the expectation of receiving intelligence of a contrary nature D O Clark head of rhe coat department he said was expected here this week and he should then learn the ins and outs of the matter In the meantime Mr Williams and the Utah Central are to be congratulated congratu-lated We only hope that the present arrangement may be a permanent one |
