Show PC Egau on Home Role New York SeraldslPTls Patrick Pat-rick Egan has addressed a letter to the treasurer of the Home Rule League Dublin in reply to its resent circular In his letter Egan while reminding borne ralers that he himself is one of them deprecates their idea of attempting attempt-ing to revive and extend their movements move-ments at the present juncture by the formation for-mation of local associations He pro tests against the opening passages of the circular which he says would appear to imply that the land legislation of the Government had given satisfaction to the Irish people Egan ironically asks the league why they do not think of local associations eight years ago and says that the country in its desire for independence inde-pendence has outgrown home rule in its present form So long as Parnell Dawitt Dillon and their friends are in prison the revival of the home rule agitation tation must be predjudicial to gthe interests in-terests of Ireland |
