Show Indian Trouble Report about the city had it that on Friday night one Indian had killed another Inquiry led to the finding of no facts in connection with the affair Captain Burt of the police force had heard of the report I re-port but knew nothing of the facts which while unanthenticated seem to be generally accredited and maybe may-be strictly correct It is certain that on Friday night a drunken Indian named Mone called at the house of Mr Geo W Hill Indian interpreter in the Nineteenth Nine-teenth Ward Mone said that Indian Indi-an Jim a sot whenever he can get whisky was full and on the warpath war-path that Jim had threatened to kill him Mone On Saturday morning morn-ing Mr Hill was visited by another Indian who said that there had been a fight among some Indians on Friday night that squaw had been stabbed and that an indiana son of the old man who informed Mr Hillhad been killed It is stated the Indians are Goshutes and that a band was encamped across the Jordan and that the fight had there taken place If the report re-port be true it is probable the Indians In-dians have bepn allowed to follow their own course for there are no indications that the civil authorities authori-ties have investigated the matter II I I |
