Show t KILLED ON THE TRACK A Tramp > Meets His Deafti on t the D f E G Railwar The D R G train outward bound on Saturday morning just before entering en-tering Provo ran dOwn a man and instantly in-stantly killed him It appears that the accident occurred near to the point where the D Sc E G and Utah Central cross each other and the two trains were both speeding along when the unfortunate un-fortunate man apparently not perceiving perceiv-ing the train approaching over the narrow gauge stepped upon that track to watch the Utah Central pass The D K G engine was close upon him at the time and the engineer could do nothing but blow his whistle before it it was toolate The man was either bewildered be-wildered or under the impression that was the other engine whistling for he did not move off the track He was struck by the cowcatcher with fearful force and one report says was knocked full fifty feet His body was given over to the coroner at Provo At the D R G office a reporter ICarneoT that the man was a tramp hose name was unknown i r |
