Show Sr. Citizen Events The Golden Years Center sponsored a tour to Hardware Ranch on Friday, to have a sleigh ride through the herds of elk, which number 550 elk at this time, the guide told them. THE ELK were feeding or just resting in the area, very unconcerned with the people on the sleigh. This is a program administered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services. Ser-vices. About 60 people took this trip on a warm sunny day, through several beautiful snowy canyons where there were also many deer feeding along the sunny slopes. A recent snow had left the shaded side of the canyons, a fairy-like wintry landscape. ON THE return trip there was a stop at Maddox Restaurant Res-taurant in Brigham City, for lunch. The special dates at the center, for the remaining days in February are quite important. ON THURSDAY, Feb. 22. Mary Black, a representative of Medicare, will lecture and answer questions at 12:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to come hear the current information infor-mation on this important subject, which senior citizens are interested in. The AARP Chantpr will hp meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 1 p.m. Anyone is welcome to come join this group. THE "Solid Gold Cadillac" movie which is a comedy, will be shown on Monday, Feb. 26 at 1 p.m. Check your bulletins for any other classes or meetings which are to be held, come in or call the center, 295-3479. kj |
