greater than on any previous previ-ous day for many months though the reaction after 12 oclock made the net decline up to 1280 very much less than i the extreme declines at 11 and 12 Ihe general net decline for the forenoon was from i to 3 per cent the latter on Oregon Ore-gon Transcontinental with an exceptional excep-tional net decline of 6 per cent on Oregon Ore-gon Railway and Navigation the extreme decline in this stock from the opening price to the lowest price at 12 being 13 points The total sales of Blocks up to 1230 were 425000 shares probably the largest total for any half day in the history of the exchange At 265 oclock there was a sudden upward turn of 2 percent I per-cent in Jersey Central which caused a fractional advance in other stocks The I decline in the earlier part of the hour was 1 to 2K on all stocks with 33 on Oregon Railway and Navigationto 101 with a final recovery to 102 at the close The announcement that 100000 gold would be shipped from London to New
