Show The Gold Fields A EDriggSj a well known express ex-press and stage man of Butte has returned from the Caour dAlenes He confirms previous reports as to the extent and value of the new diggings and thinks the rush and excitement next spring will be uv pre dented He says the main travel into the gold fields must be from this side on account of the swollen river which must be crossed over thirty times by the Bathdrum route and which will be impassable during the spring thaw The Trout creek route appears now to be the most feasible and will probably be the favorite trail At present nothing noth-ing is being packed into the mines There is no grub there for sale and the miners who have camped for the winter have laidin provisions only for their own use and will not sell at any price |
