Show Mrs Knowlton pead On Saturday evening a few minutes min-utes past S oclock Mrs Harriet Knowlton breathed her last at the residence of her son B P Knowl ton Esq in Parmington Mrs Knowlton was the widow of the late S A Knowlton Esq and is the mother of J Q and B Knowlton and Mrs boner wife of Hon W H Hooper For some time past sl elIas e-lIas resided with Mrs Hooper and when the family went to Soda Springs she was earnestly solicited to accompany them but not feeling well decided to go to her Sons home at Farmington and there remain re-main until Capt Hooper and family should return She recently re-cently took a severe cold which developed into pneumonia and owing to her advancedage and weak condition the respected lady was unable to rally and finally succumbed suc-cumbed at the hour stated She was I 84 years and nearly G months of age i and has passed a most eventful I career full of usefulness and good to her race and has reared a family which she lived to see honored and respected in the broad community The remains were brought to this city on Sunday evening and the funeral services will take place from the residence of Capt Hooper at 3 pm on Wednesday afternoon Word was immediately telegraphed tele-graphed to Paris Bear Lake Valley whence a messenger was dispatched on horseback to Soda Springs to narrv rhp nows nf fhorloafVi fn Pnnf w L t Hooper and while no answer has yet been receiveditis expected that he and his family will return home by this mornings train should the dispatch have reached them in time |
