Show Accident on the Utah Southern On Tuesday afternoon a man named I Grove met with a severe and what may yet prove if it has not already done so a fatal accident He was employed on the Utah Southern Extension gravel beds near Lemington south of Juab and about 125 miles south of th city when the bank caved in on him How deeply he was buried is not learned but he was taken out alive with one leg broken and was also bruise He was unconscious at the time lIe wa taken out and no physician being obtainable near here the victim was brought to Provo that Dr W B Pike might treat him Last night Dr Richards of this city received a dispatch from Dr Pike stilting that Greve had been unconscious from the time of the accident and tme that he preferred to be assisted in treating him A special train was at once dispatched to Provo the in ention being to bring the unfortunate unfortun-ate man to this city A later dis atclrstated that ha was not likely to live until he reached here lve unt The special train with the victim vas expected to arrive some time bout 12 or 1 oclock and if alive then he would receive all the treat meat possible I is understood that he was internally injured though wanting full particulars are still The man is not known to have any living friends or relatives he certainly ha none so far a is known in this territory The railroad rail-road company has taken charge of him since the accident |
