Show Drowned in a Well On Sunday morning at about 9 oclock as a teamster was watering his horses at the old well of Donald McKay his bucket caught onto something some-thing in the well aud it being very icy in and around the vicinity und no curbing around the same he reached out his hand and placed it upon the windlass and gazing down into the bottom of the well be beheld the form of a man He at OLCe gave the alarm and in a short time a large crowd of citizens had gathered around to see and ascertain his name Upon inquiry in-quiry the following particulars were gathered Tho mans name was August Peterson and hails from 3rantsville Tooele county Ho had been loafing around Frisco for somo time and WR under the influence of liquor a moa i ull the time The last seen of him was the night before at bout 10 oclock at which time he was somawhat intoxicated It is supposed sup-posed he bad started to turn tbo corner cor-ner end not being aware that 11p well was there and without a cud ing had walked headlong into i There was at least ten feet of water in the well but a board had by chance slipped into i and the unfortunate unfor-tunate man had fallen across it thereby supporting the body and keeping it from sinking to the bottom bot-tom Upon his body being brought to the surface a coroners jury was summoned and a verdict of acci ncc dental death was rendered A purse was made up on Monday by > the citizens and a coffin and clothing were purchased und in the evening he was laid in his final resting ing place nothing having been heard from hisparenls Milford Sentinel |
