Show Theatre A good sized audience witnessed the of performance Wandering Steenie and Sweethearts and Wives at the Theatre last night ht The trouble with the entertainment was its great length it not concluding conclud-ing until after 12 oclock Wander ing Steenie is a beautiful standard drama and while there standr her of things which transpired that injured the effect of the piece its principal characters were well sustained tined The difficulties were the hitches in some of the scenes and he frequent failure of some to remember re-member their lines thus causing disagreeable delays but very few of which are sufficient t spoil the general gen-eral effect M McKenzie played admirably and Messrs Lindsay Wilion LeClair Margetts Taylor and Hudson did very well Miss Edith Clawson played the leading lady character with ability and force Sweethearts and Wives which finished the entertainment is one of the finest of comedies and was much better than played bettr the first piece In this all did excep tionally well r Graham carrying off the honors Messrs McKenzie and Lindsay showing their Protean ability in a marked manner and Mr LeClair again appearing to especial advantage His line is comedy com-edy Mr Taylor always careful played excellentlyand made a different differ-ent character of this part from any thing he has appeared in before M Cummings Miss Clawson Miss LfClair and Miss Napper all played unusually well It was a fine comedy finely given 1 Macbeth I will b presented this evening Mr Lindsay a Macbeth r McKenzie as Macduff and Miss Colebrook a Lady Macbeth |
