Show The Ball It is a mere waste of woras to say that the Masonic ball in the Opera House yesterday evening was a grand affair or that it was a complete com-plete success in all respects The manner in which the fraternity arrange ar-range everything of this kind the personnel of the committees the high and commendable object in view and the social standIng stand-Ing of the invited guests all combined precluded the possibility of the occasion being anything else The costumes were in some instances really elegant and in all cases fine the general appearance ap-pearance being grand The music was as good as ever was listened to in a ball room in this part of the world the prompting was perfect and joy was unconfined until an early hour this morning A more satisfactory affair has rarely occurred oc-curred here or elsewhere |
