Show West Bountiful LaRue Hugoe talked of the art in the States and Lynn Watson who talked of the American music, especially of Aaron Copland. The program was climaxed with'a Readers' Theater presentation presenta-tion (by Alanu Winegar, Vickie Broderick, and Celia Belcher) portraying the real contributions of America, the restoration of the Gospel being be-ing the high point. A quartet sang beautifully as rendered the number, "Oh How Lovely Was the Morning." It was composed of Lynn Watson, Anna Bradbury. Kathi Isak-son, Isak-son, and Elva Jeppson. The obligalto of "American the Beautiful" was done by Anna Bradbury and SueAnne Ashby. The morning was brought to a delightful end with the serving of the American favorites, apple pie and ice cream. Relief Society will be held the last week of the month beginning in June. Members will help with pot luck lunch during the summer months. On June 30, those west of 8th W. will contribute. con-tribute. Janet Dangerfield had a great time as she visited with her folks in Arizona. People of the community are invited to register for the fall class, on the Doctrine and Covenants, to be taught by Professor Howell. Details may be learned from Edith Deppe or Ruth Lee. Joy Lynn Deppe, daughter of the Earl Deppes, has received her call to labor in the Florida Mission. There will be boundary changes at the West Bountiful Elementary School next year. Some of the students will go to South Bountiful Elementary Elemen-tary School. This is necessary because of the over crowded conditions at the West Bountiful Boun-tiful School. The crowded conditions are a result of extensive ex-tensive building in the north end of the cuv. |
