Show MURRAY VOTES FOR FUND Crowded Condition of Schools to Be Relieved by By B a vote vole of almost three to one at a special meeting held yesterday Murray electors decided in favor of a bond issue of n to be used for the erection of additional school buildings in that district Voting in the five wards of the city was Yel very light and the total in four wards reported showed only votes cast The heaviest vote voto was polled in inthe inthe inthe the First ward which gave 36 for the bond issue and 15 against In the other three wards reported the results were Second ward 17 for tor and 9 against Third ward 20 for and 11 against Fourth ward 28 8 for and 4 against No reports were obtainable at a late hour last night from the Fifth ward which is the outlying district but even een if it all aU the votes cast were against the thc bond issue still there would be majority enough to carry the election It is said however that citi citizens citizens citizens zens of the Fifth ward were favorable to the proposition Steps will be taken within the next few days das toward the tho selection of sites for the two new school buildings to be erected Following a conference of ot archi architects architects with the school board some time during this week plans will be drawn for the two structures At the present time the Murray schools are badly crowded and the two build buildIngs buildIngs buildings Ings will give the additional room which is said to have been needed need d for some time past G M Mumford superintendent of the Murray schools stated last night that he was highly pleased over the result of the election and that the work of plan planning planning ning and erecting the two new buildings will be pushed as rapidly as possible |
