Many in the Granite District feel the Pirates should be left with the closer schools such as Granger in Region Three. THE MAIN category for classification is for enrollment, enroll-ment, but what the state people peo-ple don't consider is 9th graders. grad-ers. Enrollment for classification classifica-tion purposes only takes into account the top three grades, 10-12. However, it is felt by many, that if ninth graders are allowed to participate in athletics athle-tics then they too should count in the enrollment figures. Take West High for example. exam-ple. They would remain 3-A yet they use a lot of 9th graders in their athletic programs. These students should be counted and thus the school should be 4-A. TO BE completely honest the West people draw from those 300 freshman that are in school. Bountiful and Viewmont View-mont don't have those 9th graders which in reality means West has 300 more students to choose from than they others yet they get to remain in the lower classification. Truth is, it looks like this proposal will pass unless someone comes up with a change of heart. Bountiful Lions Club members Dr. Boyd C. Martin, left, and Lions president Clifford J. Lawrence hold a few of the prizes to be awarded during the club's annual Turkey Shoot Nov. 22 and 23 at the Lions Range near the "B" east of Bountiful.
