He reported that negotiations relating to the Oakridge annexation and 1500 West Street were held later in the day between Mayor E.T. Johnson and the county commissioners. com-missioners. HE ALSO requested that any information should be turned in to the city offices which should be published in the News Letter and will be assembled soon. Mr. Forbush explained the access road coming into Farmington Farm-ington from the south freeway will be closed for resurfacing, beginning August 7 to early September. The public will be directed to use the Buek Lane interchange. IN A public hearing to con-, test an amendment to zoning ordinance, by adding chapter 23, "Conditional-special uses," there was no citizen present to contest the change. This matter was passed with some amendments which gave the city council more opportunity oppor-tunity to review conditional use requests if they thought it advisable. There was a rezone request on the east end of Foxglove property on Shepherd Lane from C-2. There was considerable consider-able discussion, and attorney for Ken Bischoff and Mick Bishchoff, spoke concerning their plans for the property. Sid Smith, engineer, also spoke and explained the proposed prop-osed condominiums and business busi-ness buildings to be built in that area. MR. ALBERT, property owner, made some remarks and questions some of the proposed plans. Diane Ball- steadt, property owner also explained her thoughts concerning con-cerning this proposed building plan. A letter from Leonard Moon, property owner, was read, he opposed the buildings adjoining this Moon Circle property. Chris Judd, another property proper-ty owner, wanted to know that was to be done with the mountain moun-tain stream going through the property. Mr. Smith explained that it will be channeled underground under-ground through large pipes. COUNCILMAN Grant Un-german Un-german made the motion to re-zone re-zone C-2 to R-5 and this was approved. Wendell Leavitt met with the council to request final approval of Kim-Li-Meadows subdivision. After considerable consider-able discussion and after hearing hear-ing a letter from Jerry Wood concerning some of the problems, prob-lems, the council approved this request. |
