Show Job Fair June 1st LAYTON - The Layton Job Service will stage a job fair June 1 in conjunction with state and national Vietnam Week. IT WILL run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Layton High School auditorium for Vietnam-era veterans interested in exploring job possibilities, says Job Service Manager Gary Bush. Those eligible must have filled service duty from August 5, 1964 to May 7, 1975, whether in Vietnam or elsewhere. "Local employers have been invited and will be prepared to take on-the-spot applications," Mr. Bush says. The Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion have been contacted for support and Governor Scott Matheson and Layton Mayor Glen Shields have been invited to participate. THERE ARE nine million Vietnam-era veterans nationwide nation-wide with several thousand in Davis County. They will be recognized during the Vietnam Viet-nam Week May 28-June 1 tb |
