Show cottonwood CANAL the legislature at their recent session appropriated two thousand dollars towards the complex completion ion of the cottonwood canal and unless said canal is completed before the irrigating season commences those who are dependent on ther the waters of mill creek to wet their crops may expect to see their lands left high and dry tor for the mill creek will be devoted to milling purposes and be carried still flir further ther north for irrigating j and unless the cot conwood canal is completed before the opening et jg spring work laborers will be scarce and it will be difficult if not impossible to do what will be necessary to secure the water to the big field and other portions of land intervening and I 1 a drouth and loss of grain will be the natural result therefore now is the time for all those who are in arrears for far taxes or want to take jobs to call on ira eldredge commissioner who has the appropriation of the public funds procure all necessary information and go to work at the canal without delay those owning lands on the route can labor on said canal and thereby secure the use of water for irrigating their lands while those who do not help make the th e canal will have to pay for the use of the water otherwise wise or no not t use it the best thin thing 0 for the brethren would be tomake to make the canal themselves and own it then they would not have to pay toll to the treasury |
