Without a doubt, wearing a helmet is the single most important factor in surviving a motorcycle crash, according to Doug Deans, ist. Many lives could be saved every year if motorcycle riders would wear helmets. We want to recognize those who use good judgment and realize the importance of wearing helmet, he said. Head injury is theleadingcause of death is motorcycle crashes. Riders without helmets are three times more likely to have a fatal head injury that riders with helmets. In 1992, there were 16 fatal motorcycle crashes in Utah, only four were wearing helmets. Utah law requires all riders under the age of 18 to wear helmets, but data show less than 25 percent of that age group wear helmets, and only 36 percent of all Wrf A and get 25 off ALL and Supplies In Stock.
