GREER DIES; BUSYJJFE ENDS Protestant Episcopal Bishop of Metropolitan Diocese Passes Away. NEW YORK, May 19. The Rt. Rev. David H. Greer, Protestant Episcopal bishop of New York, died in a. hospital here at 6:lu o'clock tonipht. Bishop Greer accepted I lie election as coadjutor bishop of the diocese of New York after having declined three earlier offers to the episcopacy in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Pennsylvania.
