Show V March foruitt 11, 1983 Pages Courage Presents Whiteknuclder Phi Eta Sigma Members Initiated The Westminster Players are at it again, and on March 16, 17, 18, and 19 at 8 p.m. in Courage Theatre (second floor, Converse Hall) will present a three-amystery farce entitled The Ghost of Rludrs Manor. The cast, consisting of veterans and newcomers to Courage, is directed by Westminster student Charles Blue. He is assisted by Chanida Anayaputra and is under the supervision of theatre workshop instructors Lynn Baker and Greg Floor. The action takes place in the haunted Rhodes Manor ct ten-wom- an . where the curator, Deborah Cass (Lorraine Solum), plays host to a group of unusual characters. Helen Underwood (Stephanie Panos), writer of mystery stories, comes to the manor to meet the Ghost (Shannon Coogan). Accompanying Miss Underwood are her secretary, Mary Fitzgerald (Stacy Butters), and her neurotic maid, Glory (Eva Elkins). Shortly after their arrival at the manor, Miss Underwood mysteriously disappears only to have a number of characters take on her identity. The remainder of the play becomes a menacing game of Will the real Helen Underwood please stand Kristen Preston up? Spoof Goss President Attention Graduating Seniors - Class of 1983 A local newspaper reporter, Tillie Van Winkle (Alicia Dechart), who visits Rhodes Manor to interview the Ghost, manages to mix things up for everyone. Meanwhile, the local sheriff, Biddy Haggerty (Rita Willey), appears on the scene and is constantly reminding everyone that the sitiation is well in hand. Unfortunately, no one knows to whose hand she is o is Senior National Freshman Honor Society, Phi Eta Sigma, began a new chapter on the campus of Westminster College with the initiation of 29 student members and three honorary members on Friday, March 4. The initiation ceremony took place at Nunemaker Place with the clubs officers John Fabrega, president; Andy Dokos, vice president: Sheri Dearing, secretary; Sabrina Morton; treasurer, and Marianne Campbell, senior adviser; presiding over the ceremony by reading the traditional club ritual. At a dinner, in the Presidents Dining Room, which followed the initiation ceremony, Dr. James E. Foy, grand secretary of Phi Eta Sigma, presented Dr. Douglas W. Steeples with the' clubs charter. Foy came from Auburn University in Alabama to be present at the initiation. into Phi Eta Sigma were Honorary members-initiate- d Dr. Virginia Frobes-Wetze- l, member of the Board of Trustees; James E. Petersen, president of the College; and Jay W. Lees, professor of Theatre Arts and Speech at the College.
