Show Club ocia St. Patrick's Dance S fi Shuren it was wearing of the green, and a bit of the old Irish blarney when the St. Patricks dance was held Friday, March 18, in the Ferry Hall, sponsored by the dorm girls. The gals asked the fellows via green and white invitations which were sent by Billie Hahn, Gloria Johnson, and Rae Rhodes under the direction of the chairmen Marge Lough and Jeanne Lathrop. The affair was staged in the dining-roowhich resembled an exclusive club.. Green and white streamers and glittering shamrocks gaily trimmed the room. Gayle Smith and Barbara Meissner with he aid of Winifred Pitt man, Margaret Scott, Nancy Jane Stoller, Dorothy Parker, Delilah Laird, Eva Lewinson, Hazeb Pittman,, and Mariece Matthew were responsible for he decorations, and they should be congratulated for their beautiful job. Tables to accommodate two couples were placed around the walls, and the space in the middle was jammed with dancers the' greater part of the evening. On each table was a green candle, the dance and boutonnieres of which Wilma Gould had charge. Colorful green puch carrying out the theme was served by Elizabeth Ataka and Jo Partridge. The menu of chicken pie, salad, peas, and ice cream was planned by Corinne Marks, Jane Williams, Mariece Matthew, Ly dia Gerry, and Faun Davis. Those who served .were Virginia Klapakis, Blythe Clymer, Jane Williams, Jeanne Lathrop, and Corinne Marks. Pearl Nacenta was the general chairman. Miss Westminster were announced as Howard Richardson and Gene Montague. The choice was made in an election conducted by the Etosian. Three candidates for each title were chosen from the Junior and Senior classes and three classes made the choice. Mr. and Miss Westminster are named for their scholarship, popularity, and participation in extracurricular activities. Howard is a member of the basket ball five, a member of Student Council, and particularly interested in sports.
