Treasurer: George George was elected ASWC treasurer last October in a special election to replace Laura Lee Tweedy. He said he was surprised at the work the position required and the number of hours he has had to spend fulfilling its duties. Another reason George gives for running for is that he feeis a new dean of students, college president and vice president, and a new executive cabinet, all need some continuity. According to George, the biggest change in the position this year involved a new system which accurately reflects how much various budgeted organizations and activities have spent. McShane, who would like to see ASWC become a general resource for the student body, said, Id like to get more involved in student government and be in a position to get others involved. She is also planning on promoting the commuter house idea. As a member of the Westminster Players, McShane knows how time consuming college activities can be. In her spare time she likes to play tennis and ice skate.
