Wiedemer of Empire States Drilling Co., at a recent Chamber of Commerce luncheon in Albuquerque, N.M. Wiedemers firm is one of the drilling contracting companies operating in the San Juan Basin of northern New Mexico. During 1954 the oil and gas production industry paid 36 per cent of total state taxes, Wiedemer said. Revenue from ad valorem, sales, severence and a special Oil Conservation Commission tax totaled approximately he said. In addition, the state received nearly $9,000,000 in bonus payments for leases on state lands and another $11,000,000 in royalty payments, he said. $15,-000,00- Notice is hereby given that a In the Matter of the Withdrawal special meeting of the (3-9-5- 6) ruary 10, 1956. Most of the properties struck last August are expected to get back into production next week. The 80 strikes, members of the International Union of Mine, Mill and Smelter Workers, got pay increases approximately equaling the Bunker Hill pattern. But they didnt get the same kind of modified union shop for which they held out so long. OPERATIONS INVOLVED in the strike settlement include DAY MINES Dayrock, Hercules, Tamarack and Sherman mines, American Smelting & Refining Paige, Companys Galena-VulcaFrico, and Jack White, Sidney Mining Company, Mascot Mines and Sunset Mines.
