Thursday, June 71. iom Open House - Family Marks Anniversary Of Andelins Marvin worked contest. for the Signal Corps during World War II and then went into business as a tile contractor. He also worked for the FAA until his retirement in 1970. At the age of 72 he built their home in West Valley where the two of them now live. The Andelins have both been active in church organizations, Faye in Primary, MIA and the Relief Society, both ward and stake. They were called on a mission to the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area from 1971 to 1972, and also a short term mission in 1973 in Pittsburgh. Marvin became a licensed operator during World War I on the ship Nushagak which was bound from San Francisco to Honolulu and Alaska. When the war ended he attended LDS high in Salt Lake, and then worked for Utah Power and Light in Martin, for the next 20 years. Faye was born in Salt Lake in 1912 but was raised in Soldier Summit, a booming railroad town. On her 21st birthday, she and Marvin fell in love at first sight and were married eight months later. They became parents of four children, Marvin R., Irvine, California; Dennis S. Tooele; Lona A. Boothe, Taylorsville and Faye Pat, Ellis, deceased.
