Such action would still require the county's attention to deterioration of the Building. Spending money to save it from crumbling has been a popular choice, but also putting money in it to accommodate all the offices it now does - and possibly more - seems to be pure folly. The proper route to follow at this point would seem to be saving the structure for its architectural and historical importance, allowing Salt Lake City to occupy the necessary space for its municipal office functions, assign other space to whatever county offices were in need of a downtown location, then bill the two entities in proper proportion. Obviously, this only scrapes the surface of the alternatives available. Citizens from throughout the county owe it to themselves to let their views be known - members of the County Commission owe it to their constituents to listen. Airman VAN ip tke Due to the depression that existed at that time and the subsequent World War, the members of that class were scattered far and wide. As a result we are having a difficult time contacting those graduates. To complicate the problem, there has been no attempt before now to have a reunion so there is no base to work from. Probably the biggest problem is contacting the ladies of that class. Getting married has caused a name change and total loss of any link at this late date except those provided by friendship. We have made some contacts and they serve to accentuate the problems in dealing with a reunion of 50 years. We have located people from Seattle in the north to Phoenix in the south; San Francisco in the west to Washington, D.C. in the east. Contact any of the following: T. D.
