Independence Day will be a festival filled with fun and games. Activities will begin with a delicious outdoor breakfast at 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the new Park Layton Commons bowery located east of the Layton City Hall, 437 Wasatch Drive. THE PARADE will begin at 10:30 a.m. in front of Olsen Chevrolet, 646 N. Main. It will head south on Main Street to Gentile Street, turning east on Gentile to Lancer Dine and ending at Layton High School. Immediately following the parade, Layton will have numerous carnival games to play and treats for the entire family. THE DAVIS North Medical Center will hold a bake sale and they will also sell balloons. The Ninth LDS Ward will be having a dunk tank. Prominent local ci- tizens will be on hand for all to dunk. There will be a lot more booths with a wide variety of fun and games. Layton city recreation will be having a C League baseball game at the I avion High School baseball field in the afternoon. There will be other baseball games played and games for all children to enjoy throughout the celebrat- ion. THE LAYTON citv swimming pool will be open all day.
