Amount of the monthly stipend is based on the annual income of the recipient. He was the son of Samuel and Mary Barnes Flint. He was educated in the schools of Davis County. He has owned and operated a farm here and also was employed at the Clearfield Naval Supply Depot, and Hill Air Force Base.
