The bike-a-thon, sponsored by Pi Kappa Alpha, is to raise money for muscular dystrophy, (photo by Fred Barta) Pi Kappa Alpha sponsors 20 mile bikeathon May 25 The Pi Kappa Alpha bikeathon will e held in Ogden on May 25, to help raise money for muscular distrophy. The bikeathon, which will be 20 miles long is being sponsored by PKA in conjunction with the Muscular Dystrophy office outside of Salt Lake City. According to Keith Wilkinson, president of the Inter-Fraternal Council, prizes will be given to those participants who raise the most money in pledges. r These prizes will be worth over $1,000 and will include such items Women discuss roles The National Organization for Women will hold its first meeting in the Ogden area on Thursday, May 23 at the YWCA, Mattie Harris Hall, 505 27 Street. The meeting will be at 8 p.m. and will feature a film, "Growing Up Female," a discussion of the history of N.O.W. and a general discussion period. Anyone interested is invited to come to the meeting, which will be free. Discussions at the meeting will range in topic from problems that 5 miles up Ogden Canyon, es'& i THE FINEST STEAK "' ' ' J CHICKEN SHRIMP ' DINNERS- as stereo equipment and back packs. The course will run from the European Health Spa on Harrison boulevard, through Ogden and back to the WSC campus.Refreshments will be served at the rest spots along the course. Forms and packets for the race can be picked up at the information desk in the Student Union Building, Froerer's Reality, the European Health Spa or Miller's Ski and Cycle. According to one of the organizers, the meeting is being held so that women will be able to "find out that there are other women who feel as they do."
