Hualde, has defeated the University of Utah junior varsity in the first match of the season, 5-4. Feeling encouraged by this victory, they challenged the Utah university varsity, whom they played at the Bonneville municipal links and defeated, 6-3. That was a feather in their hat since the Bonneville links are the University of Utah's home course, and definitely a rougher course than the Wildcats' home course. Next on the schedule was the Brigham Young university varsity, whom the Weberites measured with Excelsior Reschedules Memorial Smoker The Bob Hansen Memorial Smoker, an event staged by Excelsior club in cooperation with Phoenix club in memory of Bob Hansen, a member of Excelsior who was killed by a falling goal post in a post-game pep exhibition at Ogden stadium last fall, will be presented Wednesday night at the Ogden Livestock coliseum. Supplementing the bouts between members of the two clubs will be matches drawn from Weber, Ogden, Davis and Box Elder high schools, according to Lynn Winchester, chairman. Proceeds of the event will be used to set up a scholarship for an out- a victory of 5-4 at Provo. Weber has challenged the Utah State Agricultural college, who declined the offer. Their reason for refusing the offer was that their schedule was full, with four matches in all, and also that they could not play teams not up to their standing, and out of their conference. Weber college linksmen are try ing to enter the Utah State tournament, which will start in Salt Lake; May 23 and 24. When their eligi bility is determined, they will know definitely what their chances of gaining entrance into this state tournament are. The outcome looks favorable for the Weberites, announced Bill Johnston, acting team captain. . . . t i WHITE CITY BALLROOM Utah's Finest Ballroom DANCING EVERY WEDNESDAY AND SATURDAY FELLOWS!
