Karl Hopkins present in devotional exercises Friday morning, December 10, to discuss educational problems during the better school week campaign. He gave an interesting address showing clearly the part education plays in the progress of nations. He said, "any one who discontinues school to work for less than nine dollars a day is losing money instead of making it." He explained that education w.as what made such nations as the United States and Great Britain great, and the lack of education that keeps Mexico and Russia from being great. He emphasized the need for more and better schools. Miss Mary Fisher rendered some violin solos and Brother Manning gave a vocal solo. F. O. Smith.
