celebrating the anniversary of the entry of the pioneers into salt lake valley the program included a well organized immigrant train which arrived in town and pitched camp on main alain street after the camp had been nicely arranged it was raided by indiana indians under direction of lester and herbert leavitt the immar grants cattle were run oft off and a it little boy was carried off by the indians the indians were pursued by cavalry led by W W hughes chased to their camp and after a battle forced to surrender after returning they again visited the indian village accompany led by brigham young a treaty ot of peace was declared and the indians were given two cows as a boo sports followed and a handcart hand cart company formed by primary children arrived on the grounds all had a good
