Show Hurricane High Holds Annual Banquet With 70 Present On Tuesday Night HURRICANE, Utah Seventy former students and teachers attended at-tended the annual Hurricane High School Alumni banquet held Tuesday, Tues-day, Dec. 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the Elementary school auditorium, reports re-ports Wayne Hinton past president of the association. Working with Mr. Hinton at the time of the banquet were vice-president, vice-president, Milda Isom, Leo Reeve, secretary and treasurer and La Berta Woodbury, Eleanor Ruesch, Shirley Spendlove, Ramona Wood and Evans Woodbury, constituting a board of directors. This group, under the dierction of Mr. Hinton framed a constitution and by-laws for the association which was presented pre-sented and adopted at the banquet. ban-quet. The Y.W.M.I.A. from the Hurricane Hurri-cane North and South wards prepared pre-pared and served the banquet at which the following program was given. Greetings, Wayne Hinton and introduction of William E. Woodbury Wood-bury as toastmaster; clarinet solo, Glen M. Webb; remarks, Principal L. B. Bennett; instrurre'vtal number, num-ber, Bill Smith; toast, Mrs. Eleanor Elea-nor Reusch; vocal solo, Mrs. Venice Stratton; toast, Paul H. Gates; piano solo, Mrs. Vernett Hinton; and clarinet solo, Wilden Tweedie. After the banquet the election of present officers was effected with the following persons chosen: Leo Reeve, president; Clifton Wilson, Wil-son, vice-president; Milda Isom, secretary-treasurer; two year directors, di-rectors, Shirley Spendlove and Ramona Wood; One year directors, Clell Covington and La Varr Hinton.
