Show jfiss Lois Canfield Weds David T. Leland In Ceremony At Las Vegas las VEGAS, Nev. .Miss Lois Canfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Canfield of St. George, became be-came the bride of David Tolles Leland in a candle-light ceremony performed Monday evening, April 27th, at the home of her cousin, Miss Mattie Earl, of this city. The vows were read by J. Harold Brinley of the presidency of the Moapa Valley stake of the L. D. S. church and were witnessed by the immediate families of the bride and groom and a few close friends. The bridal party stood before an improvised altar decorated with yellow iris and ferns. White bridal tapers in water lily holders furnished furn-ished the light for the single-ring ceremony. The bride chose for her costume a blue silk dress and wore a corsage cor-sage of gardenias and yellow roses. She was attended by Mrs. Boyce M. Crone, who also wore a blue silk afternoon frock. Staff Sergeant Ser-geant Boyce M. Crone acted as best man for the groom. Following the ceremony the bride cut a two-tiered wedding cake in the traditional manner, which was served to the guests. Mrs. Leland was born in St. George and attended the schools there. She graduated from high school in 1941, and will complete her first year college course before be-fore joining her husband in Las Vegas. The groom is a son of Mrs. Daisy Beach, of Las Vegas. He is a grandson of the late Judge 0. H. Leland, of Waco, Texas, and is employed by McNeil Housing in Las Vegas. They will make their home in Las Vags. |
