Show John D. Atkin, S3c and I Bride Visit Relatives After Marriage In Logan J John Dwain Atkin, Ship's Cook 3c, and his bride arrived last ! week from Logan to visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John P. Atkin of St. George. Mr. Atkin has just returned from serving IS months in the Aleutians. The couple was married Oct. 17, in the Logan L. D. S. Temple. The bride is the former Miss j Mary Nelson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Nelson of Logan. The groom's parents joined them in Logan for the ceremony. In the evening following the j marriage, the b r i d e's parents entertained immediate relatives and a few imtimate friends at a (wedding dinner at their home. The table was centered with an elaborate wedding cake, a gift of one of the bride's artist friends. The bride is a student of the u.a. A. C, Logan and is prominent promi-nent as a vocalist in that institution insti-tution and in L. D. S. church activities. Mr. Atkin graduated from the lower division of Dixie junior college and attended the U. S. A. C. one year. The couple met while he was in Logan at school. They will return to Logan before he leaves for his next assignment. |
